DIMAPUR, MAY 15 (MExN): 275 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Nagaland on May 14. Meanwhile 13 new deaths were also reported on the day. There were 66 new recoveries.
Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom informed that the new cases include 176 from Dimapur, 74 from Kohima, 13 from Mokokchung, 6 from Phek, 2 each from Peren and Peren, and 1 each from Zunheboto and Longleng.
The new cases consist of 165 from self and random tests, 76 traced contacts, 17 from the armed forces/security personnel, 15 returnees/travelers, and 2 frontline workers.
The new recoveries in the State comprised of 41 from Dimapur, 18 from Kohima, 2 each from Peren and Phek, and 1 each from Mon, Mokokchung and Longleng.
With this the total caseload of Nagaland State now comes to 17,531. A total of 13,034 patients have recovered from the infection so far. With 13 new deaths, the total fatalities due to COVID-19 in Nagaland now stand at 179. The State now has 3,741 active cases.
