DIMAPUR, JUN 9 (NPN) : Nagaland’s Covid-19 caseload rose to 23237 on Wednesday after 186 fresh cases were reported while three more patients succumbed to the infection.
Mokokchung district saw another single-day surge of 92 Covid cases followed by Kohima-34, Dimapur-28, Zunheboto-11, six in Mon, five in Phek, three each in Wokha and Longleng, two in Tuensang and one each in Peren and Kiphire.
The recent surge in cases Mokockung is not only confined to Mokokchung town area. Significant number of fresh cases were being reported from rural areas, health officials said.
Following the death of three more patients– one each in Kohima, Mokokchung and Phek, the total number of deaths has risen to 435 (including 14 non-Covid deaths but with Covid positivity).
