Kohima, June 16 (MExN): The Kohima Police has informed that heavy vehicles would be restricted from plying in Kohima town from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily, with a view to ease traffic congestion and facilitate smooth flow of traffic.
Sr Superintendent of Police Kevithuto Sophie informed in a press release on Wednesday that entry of heavy vehicles into Kohima through Khuzama Inter-State Police Check Gate would be restricted from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm while the restriction for those coming up towards Kohima from Dimapur side would be restricted from Chapru from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Meanwhile, entry of heavy vehicles into Kohima Town will be restricted from Bye-Pass Traffic Police Booth from 8:00 am till 6:00 pm, the release stated.
The traffic regulations for heavy vehicles will be enforced with immediate effect till further order, it added.
