In a tragic accident, a vehicle en route to a paddy field overturned, resulting in the death of one female and injuring 23 other passengers in Sangkhumti village on April 8.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a Bolero pickup carrying 24 passengers from Sangkhumti village experienced a mechanical failure, causing the vehicle to overturn. Tragically, one female passenger lost her life at the scene.
Among the 23 injured, one was reported to be in serious condition, while the others sustained only minor injuries.
Following the accident, some of the injured were admitted to the District Hospital in Kiphire. After receiving treatment, they were discharged from the hospital.
