The first two days of the Hornbill Festival 2025 recorded 40,518 visitors at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
This included 704 foreign visitors—363 on December 1 and 341 on December 2. Domestic tourists numbered 5,314 on Day 1 and 4,893 on Day 2, totaling 10,207. Local tourists from Nagaland made up the majority, with 16,831 visitors on Day 1 and 12,776 on Day 2.
Overall, the footfall at the Naga Heritage Village was 22,508 on December 1 and 18,010 on December 2, combining for the total of 40,518 visitors, according to Toka E. Tuccumi, Joint Director, Nagaland Tourism.
Meanwhile, the morning cultural programme on December 3 will begin at 11:00 AM at Kisama. Special guests include Jigme Thinlye Namgyal, Consul General, Embassy of Bhutan; Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command, Indian Air Force; Lieutenant General Mohit Wadhwa, SM, GOC 101 Area; and Simon Lee Broughton, Founding Editor, Songlines.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton will host the event, with K Tokugha Sukhalu, Advisor, Food & Civil Supply and Legal Metrology, serving as co-host.
