DIMAPUR, October 7: Nagaland on Wednesday reported 53 COVID-19 positive cases from across the state– 37 in Dimapur, 8 in Kohima, 6 in Peren and 1 each in Mokokchung and Phek, taking the tally to 6,715.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1142 active cases were asymptomatic, 41 mild, 6 moderate, 1 severe, 2 with oxygen and 2 on ventilator. Further, out of 6715 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 3153 from the armed forces/police, 1535 returnees, 1666 traced contacts and 361 frontline workers.
Meanwhile, a total of 53,421 samples had been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 52,262 samples have been received. In addition, a total of 29,320 samples were been sent for testing on TrueNat and results of 29,230 samples were received. Through Rapid Antigen Test 2,068 samples were tested.
