Kohima, March 14 (MExN): Dzulhami Women Welfare Society Kohima (DWWSK) today celebrated International Women’s Day cum Annual Meeting on the theme ‘women of tomorrow’ at Naroh Multi Purpose Hall NMH, Kohima with Vekütülü Veyie Theyo, Senior Lecturer, SCERT as the resource person.
Speaking on the theme ‘women of tomorrow’, she emphasized on the importance of Women’s Health and wellness while highlighting four main aspects of health namely spiritual health, emotional health, financial health and environmental health. She also encouraged women to live up to their full potential.
The DWWSK also awarded Veyisalu R Vadeo, a vegetable street vendor with a Certificate of Recognition as ‘Women Local Entrepreneur of the year’ for being an inspiration for women.
The program was chaired by Soritsolu Naroh, Chairperson of DWWSK while Kürevolü Shijoh, Vice Chairman, DWWSK gave the concluding remarks. Altogether around 50 members attended the programme.
