Mokokchung, August 9 (MExN): Power supply to Tuli Sub-Division, Longleng and Mon district was disrupted on Friday after a 66 kV transmission tower collapsed at Yisemyong area in Mokokchung district.
The Department of Power, Nagaland said the incident occurred around 5 a.m. on August 8. “After intensive line patrolling, the fault was located in the evening at around 4:00 p.m. The collapse of the transmission tower is due to massive landslides,” the department stated in a press release.
It said all possible arrangements were being made to take stock of the situation and restore supply. Consumers in the affected areas were urged to “bear with the inconvenience as we make our best efforts in resolving the issue at the earliest.”
