Kohima, November 10 (MExN): Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, along with Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang and colleagues, called on the Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on Sunday.
Productive discussions were held on matters concerning the State, according to an update from the official Raj Bhavan Kohima handle on X.
The meeting assumes significance following the recent finalisation of the merger between the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the Naga People’s Front (NPF) on October 21, which has reshaped Nagaland’s political landscape. CM Rio was also elected as the NPF president, and this marks his first meeting with the State Governor since the merger.
