As the 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival kicked off, a total of 25,577 tourists flocked The Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on December 1 and 2. The tourist statistics by the Tourism Department recorded 157 foreign tourists, 3205 domestic and 11,120 locals on December 1. On the second day 221 foreign, 3985 domestic and 6889 locals were recorded totalling to 11,095. Comparatively, visit of tourists have seen a decline over the years.
