The recent visit of world renowned missionary Heidi Baker to Nagaland ahead of an important election in the state may not have been politically significant or earth shaking in any way. Yet the message that resonated from her discourse during public meetings at Kohima and Dimapur connected with the larger theme of ‘change’ and ‘transformation’ that the political parties tried to woo voters with.

“The true change is coming!” tweeted Shan Kikon, Pastor of Faith Harvest Church, Kohima, host of the KINGDOM INVASION 2018 Conference where Heidi Baker spoke.

“If we are a Christian province, there should be no poor among us. There should be no depression, loneliness, without a job among us, because we are people of faith,” Heidi Baker said while advocating the message of hope that comes from knowing Jesus. Heidi in particular called on believers to be a light to the world around them.

“If God doesn’t touch your generation, the Church is dead. It scares me to see a church full of old people and with no young people. So thank God, you are here! We are alive for such a time as this. You are all meant to shine. This is the greatest time in the history of the planet. We should be the most relevant generation,” she said during one of her talks.

Worshipers from both Nagaland, India and abroad took part in the 4-day conference at Kohima

One major highlight of the conference was when the church leaders of North East India prayed for the delegates of churches of the rest of India, symbolically releasing forgiveness and love towards the entire nation of India, and praying for the fire of revival to flow from the north east to the rest of the country.

“We believe the different nations and churches coming TOGETHER in the conference and worshipping together brought healing in the hearts of many leaders and also released a blessing of unity and oneness into the body”, stated the media team for the Kingdom Invasion conference.

Later in Dimapur, more than 600 people gathered to attend ‘Worship United’ at the Amphitheatre Hall of NEZCC on February 18. “God wants to put dreams and promises for revival in Nagaland, in India and in your heart”.

Perhaps sensing the depressing state of affairs in Nagaland, Heidi Baker send out a loud message of encouragement calling on people to “Get out of your caves. Stop hiding… Get out and Shine!”

“Everybody can dream the dreams of God, but there is something about your generation. You are called to shake the world; you are called to be a light in the dying world. All of us are called and only few are called to shine from the pulpit but most of us are called to shine in some other way. It does not make your shining any less important,” she affirmed.

Sharing her encounter with people bounded with starvation and poverty, Heidi said that she has been crying out for years for a cure for AIDS. “I believe that God wants to download a cure for AIDS to some anointed lovers of God who yield themselves to God and the promise of God is in them to carry the very light, the very glory of God to the earth with ideas from heaven”.
