30th KLEE annual general meeting held

Correspondent KOHIMA, NOV 28 (NPN): The 30th annual general meeting of Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung (KLEE)-cum- induction of new office bearers for the term 2022-2024 was held at AMK Ki, with director, SCERT, Chumchanbeni Kikon as the special guest, here, on Saturday.

Speaking at the programme, Chumchanbeni Kikon thanked the Almighty for the success and achievement of Lotha women in various fields during the last 30 years, since the beginning of KLEE in 1991.

She exhorted the gathering on the importance of mastering skills in one’s life as this would take one forward in life.

Chumchanbeni also reminded all to retrospect on the importance of self-management, self-awareness, social awareness and relationship management as these were important tools to survive in a society.

She also said that while working in a group, it was important to praise and acknowledge one another and to forgive one another.

In this regard, she urged the Lotha women to maintain relationship among themselves, to help one another and most importantly, to maintain quality relationship with God.

Addressing the gathering, KLEE outgoing president, Nzanbeni Kithan said that in the recent years, Lothas had been fortunate to have leaders who worked for the general welfare and well-being of the community and at present she said Lothas were blessed to have three women heads of departments working for the state government.

She thanked all for their cooperation and looked forward to working together in the days to come.

Meanwhile, the new president Renponi Ezung sought for prayers and blessings for the new team.

The programme was chaired by KLEE joint secretary, Rose Kikon while invocation was said by AG Church, Kohima women leader, Renbeni Kikon.

Earlier, convenor, Arhoni Kikon welcomed the newly inducted office bearers followed by a dedicatory prayer by Ex-Eloe Esopvui, KLBC, Nyanchumi Kithan.

The newly inducted office bearers would be led Renponi Ezung as president and Ajanbeni Shitiri as general secretary for the term 2022-2024.
