ANPSA Chümou conducts district level literary competition

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 29 (MExN): ANPSA, Chümoukedima organised its first District Level Literary Competition (Quiz & Extempore) on August 27 at Great Commission Higher Secondary School, Naga United Village with
Nini Sekhose, President, ANPSA Central was the Special Guest. Altogether 18 Schools participated in the event. The programme was chaired by Mhasino Kuotsu, Principal, Godwin Hr. Sec. School. Invocation was said by Sadem Lemtur, Pastor, Naga United Ao Baptist Church. Vote of Thanks was given by Benisha Keppen, Headmistress, Rincho Academy and benediction was pronounced by Elizabeth Dozo, Principal, GCHSS. 

The audience was enthralled with a song by Gwasinle Thyu and with a group song presented by Rincho Academy choir team, and with a Taekwondo Demonstration from Nagaland Police Central School, Chümoukedima.

The Special Guest in her speech highlighted about Women Empowerment and Social Media, the main topics of Extempore Speech Competition. The students were apprised on friendships which are incredibly important during adolescence and throughout life. 

Bendangchuba, President of ANPSA Chümoukedima in his speech emphasized on the motto of ANPSA ‘Towards Excellence.’ He quoted Robert Ebel who said that “knowledge is built out of information by thinking” as knowledge must be constructed from information by each individual learner; it cannot be looked up, or given to students by a parent or teacher. 

The winners of both Quiz & Extempore Competitions were awarded with certificates and cash prizes.

Ansh Singh and Santosh Nayak of Agape Hr. Sec. School, Chümoukedima bagged the first prize in quiz
competition whereas Shapong Konyak and Helena Maria of Little Flower High School, Chümoukedima secured second and Ann Maria PS and Lodeno Yanthan of St. John’s School, Diphupar-B secured the third position.

In extempore speech, Likumsu Yeptho, Rincho Academy, 5th Mile, secured first; Sneha Das, Little
Flower High School, Chümoukedima secured second; and Inalito Achumi, Rincho Academy bagged third position.

Consolation prizes were awarded to Lanyami Kasar, Patkai Hr. Sec. School, Chumoukedima and Mhethowe-u Khutso, St John’s School, Diphupar-B.
