Wokha, May 30 (MExN): The All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Wokha Unit honoured Khyoben NA Erui of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Wokha for securing the Top 13 position in the recently declared HSLC Examination 2023.
A press release received here stated that the programme was held at Fr John Larrea Memorial Auditorium DBHSS with Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Wokha as the special guest. In his short speech, the DC stressed the need to keep up with the changing world and focus towards cultivating critical thinking, imagination and creativity.
The topper in his speech thanked the God, his family and teachers for his success. “My achievement, I attribute it with my relationship with God. If I do my best, God will do the rest,” quipped the topper.
Earlier, the programme was led by Surojit Mitra, Principal, Libemo Memorial School, Bible reading & prayer by Rev Mhonyamo Ngullie, Headmaster Cistus School, K Edward Ngullie, President, ANPSA) Wokha delivered the welcome address. The President assured the gathering for inclusion of subject topper for felicitation in the near future. He also urged upon those schools that are yet to join the Association, to be a part of the family, where equal opportunities are given to all students and teachers, and where all issues of the schools are shared and discussed.
Mhazanbeni of Fernbrook School presented a song, Irene Enny delivered the vote of thanks and Fr CT Varghese SDB, Rector DBHSS Wokha said the vote of the thanks. All member schools along with students and teachers participated in the programme.
