CIHSR receives three ventilators from ONGC

Staff Reporter DIMAPUR, JUL 4 (NPN): Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) received three ventilators which were donated by ONGC, Jorhat under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, here, at CIHSR on Satruday.

The ventilators were inaugurated by Basin manager, Assam & Assam Arakan Basin, Jorhat executive director Sushma Rawat in the presence of CIHSR director Dr. Sedevi Angami.

CIHSR director Dr. Sedevi Angami said that the initiative would save the lives of countless patients in Dimapur in the wake of COVID pandemic. At present the hospital has around 16 ventilators, Dr. Sedevi informed.

In a brief inaugural programme, Sushma Rawat talked about ONGC’s commitment to the entire NE region, especially during the current pandemic situation. She expressed her keen interest in skill development for the poor and underprivileged.

Sushma Rawat reiterated that she would like to reach out not only in Dimapur but the remote villages near operational areas as well.

Thanking the medical workers for their dedication and sacrifice during this global pandemic, she extended her best wishes to the hospital and the people of Nagaland and also hoped for more opportunities to work together.

It may be mentioned that the financial assistance of the three ventilators amount to Rs 19, 82,400.
