Kohima, August 17 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, along with officers and staff of the Governor’s Secretariat, Lok Bhavan, Kohima, paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, recalling their contributions to public service and the nation.
The Governor and the officers and staff remembered the two distinguished personalities with deep respect and gratitude, highlighting their dedication to public life and enduring legacies.
Vajpayee was remembered as one of India’s most revered statesmen and parliamentarians. His visionary leadership, eloquence, statesmanship and commitment to democratic values were recalled as having left an enduring mark on the country.
His contributions to India’s development, national unity and global standing were also remembered, with the gathering noting that his legacy continues to inspire generations.
Tributes were also paid to La Ganesan, former Governor of Nagaland and the 21st Governor of the state. His simplicity, humility and dedicated service to the nation and people of Nagaland were fondly recalled.
His warmth, affection for the people and commitment to public service were remembered as having left a lasting impression during his tenure as Governor.
