Miss Northeast 2023 winner Kenei Ritse welcomed in Dimapur

After being crowed the new Miss Northeast 2023, Kenei Ritse along with reigning Miss Nagaland Hikali Achumi who also won the subtitle Miss Beautiful Smile were accorded a warm welcome upon their arrival at Dimapur airport on November 8.

The reception was organised by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) in conjunction with the Dimapur unit of Pfütseromi Village from where Miss Ritse also belongs.

Speaking on her achievement, Ritse said that the competition had been a learning experience for her as well as for Achumi. “I think the love and support of the people of Sikkim is what made the experience more enriching,” she noted.

As the reigning Miss Northeast, she also considered it her desire to work for improvement of mental health as her first priority.

Mele Pucho, President, BASN regarded the competition which took place at Sikkim as a ‘champions competition,’ where each state sends their best contestants. “We are very proud of what our girls have achieved this time,” he said. Due to which he viewed that, “The future is very bright for our beauty pageant industry in Nagaland.”

At 21 years old, Ritse is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Psychology (5THsemester) from Tetso College, Dimapur.
