He thanked the ministry of education for sanctioning the e-classroom programme which could help the students, teachers and the department in addressing the challenges related to the accessibility of Online Education.

He asked the teachers and department officials to make best use of the facilities provided so students studying in government schools could update themselves with the help of the latest technical developments.

With regard to e-classroom programme, the concept has been introduced in the state before the onset of the pandemic.

During 2020-21, the Ministry of Education and Literacy, approved the use of e-classroom for 191 elementary schools (Classes VI-VIII) and 282 secondary schools (Classes IX-XII) in the State. One of the main purposes for providing e-classroom is to enable the students to cope up with their interrupted learning due to lockdown.

The e-contents of each lesson class-wise have been developed according to the SCERT and NBSC curriculum.

The pre-loaded video lessons are embedded in pen drives and would be transacted through SMART TVs. The e-content modules have also been incorporated with 2D, 3D animations, videos and illustrations to make lessons easier, engaging and more interactive.

The lessons could be updated according to changes in the curriculum.

Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland has partnered with the Bright Tutee for e-content development.
