Wokha, October 2 (MExN): Minister for Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along today called upon every section of the Naga society to move together as one and work together for a stronger and better Nagaland.
Speaking at the Mt Tiyi College, Wokha second alumni meet on October 1, the minister said, “we can’t survive alone” and lamented that “we are breaking up between as ENPO, CNTC, Tenyimi.”
A press release received here stated that the minister also called to work together for a collective goal as one Naga family and not for their particular community inorder to build a vibrant, strong and prosperous Nagaland. “Only by living together and for each other, Nagaland will prosper,” he asserted.
Imna Along also told the gathering that “no matter what you are born into a family, the very essence of who you are will determine together with you hard work on what you achieve.”
While he advocated on ‘meritocracy,’ the minister appreciated the efforts of NSF and ENSF for their consistency in the perusing NSSB and hoped that now the educated youths will get the opportunity by preparing themselves and excel through the right door. “There is opportunity in every platform if they work hard,” he said while adding, “the world does not end in government jobs only.” Firmly objecting to backdoor appointments he said that there should be ‘no more backdoor, side door and window door for appointment of government jobs in the state.’
Earlier, welcome note was delivered by P Zubenthung Humtsoe, president alumni meet MTC, greetings by Sentimenla Jamir, Associate Professor & Teachers in Charge MTC and the programme was chaired by Thungreni Y Tsopoe.
