Pathso Nokeng public stands by ENPO’s demand for Frontier Nagaland state

Noklak, September 26 (MExN): A grassroots level sensitisation programme on Frontier Nagaland demand was held at Pathso Nokeng village under Noklak district on September 25 as per a resolution adopted by the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) on September 22.

According to a press release on Sunday, the stakeholders were highlighted on the background of the demand and the decisions made at the KTC and Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) levels by Z Khaoshai, KTC Executive member.

P Sune, President of Pathso Nokeng Public Organization (PNPO), encouraged the gathering to extend support to the movement until the demand for a separate state is fulfilled. The KTC’s September 22 joint consultative resolutions were read out by M Lusang while GB Lushia, President of Pathso Area GB’s Union, also spoke at the meeting and opined that each and every individual should abide to the ENPO’s decision and KTC’s re-affirmation, that is- “no involvement in any kind of election process until Frontier Nagaland is granted,” the release stated.

The public reaffirmed that it would extend full support and cooperation to the demand and stand of the ENPO and the KTC’s decisions. The gatherings were also briefed on the proposed mass Walkathon on October 7 organized by the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF), the release stated.
