While it is true that numerous portions of the road in Dimapur have been repaired in the last few years, there are still numerous other roads that have never felt the touch of a roller carpeting new asphalt on it. One prominent example is that of the road leading towards Sewak Colony from Midland in the heart of Dimapur town. Locals in the vicinity have shared that this particular stretch hasn’t been repaired for so long that they’re unable to recollect how long it has been since they last saw labourers putting bitumen on it.
‘Must have been 20 years or more I guess but I’m not sure,’ shared one Naga auto driver who has been driving in that area for about 15 years now.
‘I never saw any one repairing the road even when I was kid,’ said another store owner.
