Shapers of noble virtues Nagaland CM, NSF hail teachers

Kohima, September 45 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Sunday greeted the teachers on the eve of Teacher’s Day by acknowledging, among others, their roles in shaping the students. 

“Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping students to become responsible citizens and inculcate necessary life skills,” Rio stated in his message to the teachers. 

“Grateful to them for their invaluable contribution towards nation-building. #HappyTeachersDay,” he tweeted. 

Meanwhile, extending greetings to all teachers across the Naga inhibited areas, the NSF said that it appreciates the role of teachers in their crucial responsibility in imparting knowledge and inculcating the noble virtues in the hearts and minds of students to become responsible citizens.

The efforts and hard work put in by the teachers, despite the various bottlenecks and other technological constrains, to adapt with the continuous cycle of education by keeping students engaged with their academic and other educational activities is well appreciated, it said. 

As the Naga people aspire towards a vibrant society, the NSF also expressed confidence that the students’ community are in “noble and qualified” hands which will usher the younger generation of Nagas into a new era of peace and prosperity.

The federation acknowledges the invaluable contribution of teachers and further wishes them success in the pursuit of all their noble endeavours, stated a message issued by NSF President Kegwayhun Tep and Secretary Education, Medovi Rhi.

Y Patton: Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Y.Patton also  has greeted all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Teachers are tasked with the greatest responsibility of shaping the destiny of students they teach and nurture and a  dedicated teacher is always ready to sacrifice time and energy for the benefit of the students and strive to bring out the best in them, he stated in a message. 

No human can become great without a teacher, he added. 

On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton also conveyed the Teacher’s Day greetings. 

President Droupadi Murmu hopes more talent joins teaching profession

New Delhi, September 4 (PTI): President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday expressed hope that more talent join the noble profession of teaching and asserted that efforts of our teachers will help us achieve new heights in the field of education.
In a message on the eve of Teachers’ Day, Murmu said our teachers are continuously trying to improve their capabilities and proficiency through new research, experiments and innovations.

“On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, I extend my warm wishes to all the teachers in our country. I hope that more talent join the noble profession of teaching. I extend my wishes again to all teachers. It is due to their efforts that responsible citizens emerge, who are ready to work for the welfare of the nation in every possible manner,” she said.

“Our teachers are continuously trying to improve their capabilities and proficiency through new research, experiments and innovations. Through the National Education Policy-2020, changes are being brought in our education system. It is also providing opportunities for the inclusion of Indian cultural values and languages in our education system. I am confident that the efforts of our teachers will help us achieve new heights in the field of education,” she noted.

Murmu also paid tributes to former president Dr S Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.

“This occasion marks the birth anniversary of the great teacher-philosopher and former President of India, Dr S Radhakrishnan. I pay my humble tributes to him. He is an inspiration for all teachers who try to instill, in addition to knowledge, human values in the students,” she said.

The president will confer the National Awards for Teachers, 2022 to 46 select awardees on Monday to honour their unique contribution to school education.
