‘The Konyak Naga Indigenous crafts, Textiles and Attires’ book released

Kohima, August 3 (MExN): ‘The Konyak Naga Indigenous crafts, Textiles and Attires’ book written by C Lemei Konyak of Tuimei village, Mon town and edited by C N Moe was dedicated in the conference hall of Kohima Konyak Baptist Church (KKBC) Midland on August 1. 

Rev Yamyap, State Chaplain, dedicated the book. In his address, Rev Yampang appreciated the author for her dedication to preserve the cultural heritage of Konyak Naga, “which is on the verge of disappearing.” He also stated that the Konyak Naga used to read most historical books written by foreigners, but the author has enabled people to see the rich culture and heritage from native perspectives, stated a press release. 

The author shared on the substance of the book and testified on how God consistently guided and helped her to finish the job. 

The programme was followed by an interactive session with the author, during which she took the opportunity to briefly explain the book’s major topics of the book.
