TOT on Anemia Mukt Bharat strategy under Mon dist

Mon, June 9 (MExN): Training of Trainers (TOT) on Anemia Mukt Bharat strategy under Mon District was held on May 31 at CMO conference hall. The participants were Medical Officers, Block Programme Managers, Asha Co-ordinators, Community Health Officers and Nurses, District Media Officer, NHM, Mon stated in a press note.

Resource person Dr Shasinle Tep DPO (UIP & RCH) oriented the staff on Anemia in Nagaland- high prevalence in all ages, causes of high burden of Anemia, Anemia in Children, Anemia in Non pregnant women, Anemia in pregnant women, Public Health Implications of Anemia, Milestones in control of Anemia in India, the 6x6x6 strategy to combatanemia- six beneficiaries and six interventions.

Moie Bonnie Konyak, District Programme Manager (DPM) shared on the discussions and planning on how to train the teachers and ASHAs of all the blocks and the way forward to implement the programme.

Dr Shasinle also oriented the participants on Family Planning- Mission Parivar Vikas and its strategies which include delivering assured services, promotional schemes, ensuring commodity security, building capacity (service providers), creating enabling environment, close monitoring and resolving implementation bottlenecks. Each strategy under the programme were educated in detail.
