DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): Eden Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, organized an awareness programme on Ambient Air Quality & Waste Management under Mission LiFE on October 3 in collaboration with the Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB).
Olivi G. Chophy, Senior Scientific Assistant, NPCB, spoke on the impact of air pollution on human health and the importance of air quality monitoring. Yanathung Kithan, Scientist ‘B’, NPCB, highlighted waste-generation challenges and urged students to segregate waste and adopt sustainable practices, while Hanpong Konyak, Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB, briefed students on Mission LiFE and promoted simple, eco-friendly actions such as using biodegradable materials.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rongsenben Longkumer, Junior Scientific Assistant, NPCB.
