Mokokchung, November 1 (MExN): The Ao Senden on Saturday refused to call off its agitation despite the Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department transferring and posting a radiologist to the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung, saying all its demands must be met first.
In a letter to the Commissioner and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, through the Medical Superintendent of IMDH, the Ao Senden expressed gratitude for the radiologist’s posting but said it was “not prepared to call off the agitation until all of our demands are met,” citing “insincere actions in the recent past by the concerned Department.”
The organisation demanded that all attached doctors and nurses be reverted to IMDH, Mokokchung, and that all transferred and posted doctors and nurses submit their joining reports at the hospital at the earliest.
“Then only the Ao Senden will call off the agitation,” the letter, signed by Vice President Aowati and General Secretary Imtipokyim, stated.
The development follows a notification (No. MED-3/A/1/2006 (PT)/696) dated October 30, 2026, from the department regarding the radiologist’s transfer.
