Rev L Metjen installed as 11th Executive Secretary of KBBB

Mon, Feb 1 (MExN): The Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum (KBBB) Executive Secretary installation programme was held at Mission Centre, Mon on January 30. 

During the programme, Rev L Metjen was inducted as the 11th Executive Secretary of KBBB. The act of induction was led by Rev S Yoko, Vice President, KBBB Ngrangtup. Rev L Metjen was consecrated to the office of the Executive Secretary by all the ordained ministers present. The induction ceremony was attended by all the ordained ministers, pastors, KBBB Executive Council members, two NBCC members, family and well-wishers.

A press release issued by the KBBB office stated that Rev L Metjen hails from Tanhai village and was ordained in 2016. Initially he joined as the Youth Secretary in 1996 and held various positions, as Finance Secretary, Church & Evangelism Secretary and now as the 11th Executive Secretary of KBBB. 

Rev L Metjen, in his acceptance speech expressed thankfulness to God for this new assignment. He accepted the honour with humility and expressed that it might not be expected from him to do what had achieved by the former Executive Secretary; but he is convinced, together with the KBBB staffs and pastors that he would give his best. He also sought the same cooperation and prayer supports which was rendered to the former Executive Secretary. 

Rev L Metjen also conveyed sincere gratitude to the outgoing Executive Secretary, Rev M Chemyuh for his leadership under whose mentorship he was able to carry out all previously held responsibilities. 

A longstanding KBBB Executive Secretary, Rev M Chemyuh, making a way for his successor accepted the new responsibility as the Church & Evangelism Secretary. He praised God for his long and successful three tenures, from 2009-2023 as the KBBB Executive Secretary. He conveyed gratitude to his wife & children, all his office assistants, drivers and staffs for their immense supports and prayers. 

The KBBB wished Rev M Chemyuh, the outgoing ES and Rev L Metjen, the incoming Executive Secretary and assured continuous prayers support as they both take the new responsibility.
