DIMAPUR, NOV 27 (NPN): Rising People’s Party (RPP) on Friday termed as “misleading” the UDA government’s “constant propaganda” that all appointments have been banned by the court, saying such “irresponsible utterances” trampled the dignity of the court.

To buttress its charge, RPP pointed out that High Court on November 10, 2021 issued an order allowing the state government to go ahead with recruitments in Group D services that did not fall within the purview of NSSB. RPP also said the Court on October 5, 2021 directed NPSC to carry out its recruitment process as per the service rules without delay after which 99 posts were advertised and NPSC is currently in the process of conducting the exams.

Further, RPP said that in response to the petition of its counsel, the P&AR department complied with the court order on October 5,2021 that led NPSC to issue a notification allowing upper age relaxation for one year upto April 21,2021. The party also said the UDA government should be “ashamed for stooping so low” and advised it to instead introspect on why there is excess appointment of 10,000 teachers in Nagaland?

Further, RPP said after making such a “bombshell statement” during the winter session, the UDA government was seeming to ironically blame RPP for banning appointment of teachers in the School Education department. RPP also asked UDA legislators to first ask their state additional advocate general, about what deposition he made before the high court in the first week of November. RPP said the “state’s top lawyer, submitted a list to the court, pointing to the fact that appointment of teachers under Education department does not fall within the ambit of NPSC or NSSB. Period.”

RPP said, this in other words, meant that “no one is stopping the department from appointing teachers, provided proper procedures are followed”. It said the same applied for the Health department. Therefore, RPP demanded to know as to why the UDA legislators are blaming RPP on the floor of the house for banning appointment of teachers?

The party said it was “incredible that the UDA government does not know what’s cooking in their domain” or was this only to mislead the public? RPP maintained that the machinations of UDA government to “scuttle the ongoing court case, will not succeed.
